Global supply chain problems have also hit the general aviation (UL, LSA) industry. So far, not as badly as the automotive industry (fortunately we don't have a chip shortage), but the fact is that for some equipment, such as the modern avionics that we fit to Fusion aircraft, the waiting time has increased from a few weeks to 2-5 months for delivery.
Even more challenging is that for some of the raw materials needed to manufacture the lightweight carbon fibre composite fuselage, procurement prices are very hectic. Some materials, for example, have increased in price by 40% this year alone, and in many cases there are daily prices, making production costs difficult to plan. But despite all the challenges, we can still produce machines with a basic configuration within up to 6 months of order. For custom configurations, however, production times can double due to increased delivery times for parts.
